I just got my cj back together,so I just bought a hi-lift jack.(I can't afford a winch)My bumpers are stock and I need a place to hook onto in case I get stuck. Are tow hooks still the way to go, or is there a better bolt on?

with stock bumpers the tow hooks are your best bet for the front. other devices usually connect to the bumper an the stockers just arn't up to the task. the hooks bolt to the frame and this will be strongest. for the rear you'll have to see what works for your set up. i've found that the rear of cj's can be week if the attachment point is not properly mounted. you'll want to make sure that what ever you use is connected to the frame rails and not just the rear crossmember.
