\"Craftsman\" tools
Last night I went to SEARS to pick-up some lawn mower parts, I had always heard that "Craftsman" hand tools had a lifetime replacement guarantee, so I thought I would give it a try. I took a Ratchet, 3 screwdrivers, and a hammer. One of the screwdrivers was bent, another was melted on the end (looked like it had come into contact with some High Voltage/wwwthreads_images/icons/blush.gif), the third one was in pretty good shape, but I figured what the hey if they will replace it.../wwwthreads_images/icons/wink.gif, the hammer looked about 30years old and was in real bad shape, and the ratchet worked but was getting real loose inside. I walked up and handed the sales person the tools, they said come with me, we walked around and grabbed brand new ones off the shelves, the ratchet I had is out of production, they said I could order a rebuild kit for it at No charge, or I could just have one of the new re-designed ratchets, I took the new one! They rang it all up at No charge (probably for inventory) Smiled, handed me the bag of NEW tools and said "Thank You!" !
I did not have to give them anything "NO EXPLANATIONS", "NO PROOF OF PURCHASE", "NO HASSLES AT ALL", I really like "Craftsman" tools and I have never been so impressed with a company honoring their warranty. I just wanted to share my experience with everyone.
PS. Everyone is quick to Bitch when they get poor service, myself included (see "checker sucks" post/wwwthreads_images/icons/wink.gif) but many times not give credit, when credit is do. This is my attempt to do so /wwwthreads_images/icons/smile.gif.
