axel identification

Sorry no picture that would be too easy. Deffinitely a dana and has what looks to be an "80" stamped in the diff webbing on the lower right. It has 8 lugs and is a full floater. That's on the rear, in the front is a dana 44, but it is stamped 44-8F. What do the "8F" stand for??

P. S. They are both on the same vehicle but the rear is swapped in from an unknown source. The rear does have a tag with the axel ratio (4.10/41-10), but no such tag on the front. The guy I bought the rig from said he never ran it 4X4 since he biought it because the ratios were different front to back.

This is the easiest way. Look on the axle tube to the side of the differential and get the bill of materials number. Then go to this link and enter the number. It will work for the front also. This will also tell you the original gearing.
