AEON 50cc ATV Extreme ATV
I have an Extreme ATV 50cc 4 wheeler which says AEON on the frame. It is a 2 stroke engine with an oil injector mixing system. I am currently having a problem with a running issue. It starts real good and idles great. It has an automatic choke set up and it works properly as well. But if you accelerate the throttle over a certain point it bogs down and dies. I have had the carburetor apart and it has been cleaned with a new kit. I cleaned the tank out. and I also cleaned the 2 stroke oil tank out as well and replaced air filter, fuel filter, spark plug...etc etc. Do you think this could be a stator or rectifier problem? Any info or help into the right direction would be grateful.
What a coincidence, I picked up an Aeon 50 for my boy and I'm having the exact same problem as you. I do not unfortunately have a solution yet but I was talking to the guy in the bike shop about it this morning and he advised me to check the belts behind the cover where the kick start is located. He says that some parts may be seized up in here. Mine has been left idle in a shed for a few years. Anyway he told me to strip and clean the pulleys. Also I saw on the net that the clip which holds the carburettor on needs to be closed very tightly because if not air can get in and causes the symptoms you describe.
I may not have time to check both of the above for a few days but I will post on here if I find the solution.
Would be grateful if you can let me know if you make any progress.
