I purchase my go-kart in a local Miami Pep Boys Auto parts on September 20, 2006 (pick it up a week later 9/27/06)
I used the go-kart for about a week and now the electrical ignition switch does not work. The ignition switch is dead, nothing
happends when I turn the key.

I file a claim (ID# LJU13) with your costumer service dept. about a week ago and no one has called me yet to tell me where
to take my go-kart for warranty service. I faxed the title and the purchase receipt like the guy told me and nothing has happened.

Can I do something simple to fix the problem or do I need to take the go-kart to a service center?

Please help, My kid wants to drive his go-kart and the go-kart has being in the garage for almost 2 weeks with no use.

.

If you had the wiring diagram for our go-kart, you could possibly use a 12V tester and "test away". Test where 12V is suppose to be going into and out of the ignition key unit. Without a wiring diagram, it would be "guessing". And if you ground out the wrong part (to test for current), it might actually create more damage.

If you can, do try to get a wiring diagram. Sometimes, it could be dirt / crud in the switch. Other times, it could be a broken switch (its internals) or it could even be a broken / loose wiring somewhere else on the machine. With this in mind, do double check all fuses / connections on the rest of the go-kark. Without a wiring diagram, it would be a guessing game.

Hope this helps - some how...
