Kasea 90 keeps dying-help!

Went riding with the boy today, very hot in the 90's. His '02 Kasea 90 (stock) ran great the first part of the day. After lunch, it would start dying on him. It would imediately restart and idle but try and feed it gas and it would die. Let it sit for awhile and it would restart and run fine for maybe 45 minutes and it would start dying again. Finally towards the end of the day we had to limp it back by him playing with the throttle and we called it a day. New plug at the beginning of the season. New inline gas filter 2 weeks ago. Only use fresh gas and I kept the tank topped off. Cleaned the air filter before we left and when it died the first time, I checked the air filter and it was clean. Hit no water puddles as it has been dry here in the midwest. Is this a heat soak problem or a carb issue? Any ideas on what to check? Ideas would be appreciated. My original Kasea dealer went belly up.
