Raptor 50 IT\'S FINALLY OUT!!!!!!!!!!!!

It's finally here!!!!! Procomengineering.com has a High performance CDI for the raptor 50 adds 1000 rpms $137.00 with shipping. Ordered mine this morning. It's about time.

They also have them on E-bay with bids starting @ 99.00.

Re: Raptor 50 IT\'S FINALLY OUT!!!!!!!!!!!!

Have you received the new CDI and installed it? How does it run? I am not very familiar with Procom Engineering. Please reply with your findings about this new CDI box.

Re: Raptor 50 IT\'S FINALLY OUT!!!!!!!!!!!!

I did recieve it and installed it. It does raise the rpms up and added (probably) about 6-8 mph. My son is 8 and he was pretty happy with the increase.

You probably would have been better off with a Yamoto 50cc ($1094)or even 70cc($1299). Both will go 32+MPH with me (210lbs) on it. Both have a Wireless Remote Control Kill Switch and Double A-arm Independent Front Suspension, and Swing Arm Rear Suspension. All Yamoto ATVs have a Throttle Limiter so you can limit the machine's top speed. Yamoto also has the best Warrantee in America--5 Year Engine Guarantee.

But yours cost $1299.00. This upgrade cost $90.00. even If I could sell mine for $1000.00, yours will cost $299.00 more plus shipping, title, etc. Plus the loss of $1300.00 on this one because it cost $2300.00 new. Simple economics.

Re: Raptor 50 IT\'S FINALLY OUT!!!!!!!!!!!!

Should the Raptor 50 CDI unit be used or the 80 CDI unit on the Raptor 50 -
The threads I have been reading say to use the 80 CDI

Re: Raptor 50 IT\'S FINALLY OUT!!!!!!!!!!!!

Does it do what they say it does - increasing the top end speed? Does it double the speed?

What else have you done to enhance the performance of your Raptor 50
