Re: Racing Sponsors
What we did is raced hard for 2 years. After that we wrote my son a resume of his series points, wins, quad set up etc. The sponsors are looking for 1. Someone who places well in the standings, 2. Someone who is out racing alot to give them exposure to sell their product, and 3. A good representitive to sell ther garb (a nice polite kid and parents). It helps to nice clean quad, lots of decals and hype. Then... you start sending people you meet at the track to see the company you want to rep. Tell them to say..."Torqued sent me here to see you". Then...You ask for sponsorship and support after you have proven that it is worth their time and money. Don't expect to be joe racer guy and ask for a sponsorship and have nothing to bring to the table.. It is tough in the pee-wee leagues to get much more then free products and part discounts. When they start covering your gate and entry fees...then you know your kid is fast!!! Good luck!
