\"03\"scrambler 50cc. crankbearing

My 6yr. washed his machine and thought the muffler looked dirty so he filled it with water. That was 6 weeks ago, this morning I went to fire it up and she was siezed.I took the head and cylinder off I am pretty sure the crank bearing is toast.I put it back together but it sounds pretty rough.A shop close by said its cheaper too trade in the damaged one for a new quad.I looked at some new cranks $225? too $300.Any suggestions!

Sounds to me like its time to modify that engine... Check out some of the online miniquad performance shops..www.wrhracing.com www.miniatvparts.com www.dirtrides.com www.hetrickracing.com

Check with a local scooter shop.. these engines are nothing but a 50cc scooter in a quad frame.

The list price for a Polaris Scram 50 crank is $129.99. Check out www.partsland.com for factory Polaris parts.

I have seen cranks for these engines on ebay, too.

You can get a brand new engine for around $675 or you could send it to www.WRHRACING.COM to have it repaired. If your looking to modify your 50 engine it would be a good time to install a malosi crank and cylinder combo, and turn that mild mannered 50 into a fire breathing 68cc demon.
