how to get the max. out of a LT-50

My 5 yr old son races in the East coast offroad series. And here are just some of the things we do to hop them up. First Buy a FMF or a DG exhaust. This will give it the top end. Cost $160. Next change the gear ratio, because the pipe give's it the top end but takes away from the bottom end. I went up 1 tooth in the front.Reason cheaper and faster to change. Cost $8. Next Change the carb. Cost $85.Forget about rejeting,it's hard to get it right. I went up 1 carb size. This will make it idal rough but you can put another hole in the air box. Mold a piece of hose into the hole so water and dirt won't get into it, it doesn't hurt to have a curve in the hose , makes it harder for water and mud to get into it. Next I run a NGK-BRP4.Now here's the kicker. Stock fuel isn't hot enough. I run Methanol in it. Some of the guys run airplane fuel, this is also good. If you do all of these modifications this bike will flat out fly. when he comes off the line, power braking the front wheels it will throw Rooster Tails. He has been clock 29mph in the 100 ft mud drags. Talk about exciteing, watching your boy fly like that is a rush.
