What\'s wrong with a Sportsman 90

I have been reading the posts here and you all sound like Kasea dealers the way you support them, haha (yes, joking). I bought a 2002 Sportsman used and it seems many here do not like them. Any reasons? Bought is in Dec so haven't used it much...had to soften the brakes up for my 6yr old hands (although still pulls to the left). Does this model have the exhaust restrictions and snorkel you guys mention in the Scrabler thread. I am not one for tearing it apart to mod the jets, and my son doesn't need the speed, but you almost have to give if full throttle to get it going and dies uphill.

Thanks for any help as this is my first post. Nice to see some hard to find into here. Keep up the good work as you may not understand how valuable this info is that you give away freely.

Re: What\'s wrong with a Sportsman 90

The Sportsman is a great bike. One of our sponsored riders placed 2nd in the peewee class 2002 season. Sounds like your front brakes are out of adjustment if it pulls to one side. The only restrictor is a washer located between the head pipe and the cylinder. As far as your performance problem check to be shure you have a clean air filter, clean fuel filter, and a good spark plug that is not fouled.

My so has a Sportsman 90 and loves it. It has a snorkle so he can follow me through alot of trails. It hasn't broke on me yet. If you need and performance parts go to wrhracing.com
