Kasea Mini 50, no spark

Pulling hair out. Removed rotor/stator to remove oil pump ... reassembled and now there is no spark at plug. I verified this using 3 different plugs grounded against motor ... even got mad and grabbed the end of the spark plug wire with fingers. Verified all connectors are mated (never disconnected any to begin with). I was very careful removing the stator ... thought it was extrememly simple since there is only one way it goes on as well as the flywheel (keyed). Now I realize I must have screwed something up ...

I have the electrical diagram from the owners manual and see all the leads from the stator and where they go (CDI, coil) but don't have a clue as to what to check ... have multimeters, test light, etc. I have been over and over the wiring to make sure everything is right (according to diagram). Also verified the kill tethers are installed and operate correctly (via resistance checks)

The darn thing ran 30 minutes before so I know I'm missing something somewhere that's directly related to removing the flywheel/stator. This little thing is kicking my butt ...

Are there specific checks I can make on the stator/pulser (pickup) ?

The OEM schematic doesn't make any sense to me as it shows a white/red wire coming from the rear kill switch where other generic 2-stroke electronic ignition with CDI diagrams shows the white/red wire coming directly from the Stator ... which does make sense in that it is supposedly what tells the CDI to discharge to the coil.
