82 YZ125 problem

I have an 82 YZ125 J which has had the engine rebuilt around 8 years ago. Up until yesterday it ran like a charm. I went to ride it yesterday and noticed that all of the oil/gas had leaked out of the tank and was coming out of somewhere on the engine. I looked down and noticed that I left the gas turned on for about 3 weeks. What happened? I also noticed that the gas cap was split open around the top vacuum or pressure build up? The weather has been great here in Texas (mid 70s) and its kept in my garage. Any feedback would GREATLY be appreciated.

Re: 82 YZ125 problem

Sounds like your float has stuck. Either that or there is some kind of debris in the float needle and seat. Clean your carb, adjust your float, and you should be good to go.
