I went with a Kubota RTV. I live in the Oregon Coast Range; I do a lot of mini ranching, and will drive around a lot during big game season. The UTV aspect of it is everyting I expected; when I lock the differential, put it in 4 wheel drive and low range, it crawls uphill and over obstacles like a tank.
The shifting is a little touchy (like the old granny gears) but it is all I expected and then some. I probably wouldn't go to a crotch-burner place Sand Lake and do a lot of hard driving but I am almost 50 years old and gravel roads suit me just fine.
I made a sweet brushguard and netting for it, will get some pics as soon as I get over the forum learning curve.

Kubota RTV

You'll be real happy with your Kubota. Excellent machine, very underrated and durable as anything out there. I just bought a great roof for my RTV 900 and it hasn't needed much else.
