08 sportsman 800 cv problem

I have a 08 sportsman 800 with a busted front right cv joint and a buwsted rear right cv boot. My axles have a round c-clip on the end that snaps into the cv joint and I was wondering how to get the cv joint off my axle? does it just pop off or is it more complicated? thanks for any help you can give me

There is a small expandable ring on the end of the shaft. You need to take the boot off, clean all the grease out of the way so you can see, and right next to the inner part of the CV where the balls roll you will see it on the end of shaft. If you need a CV boot kit and or a used CV, get ahold of us here at Hit-The-Gas, New and Used OEM Parts for Polaris, Yamaha, Suzuki, Kawasaki, ATV, Jet Ski, Motorcycle, Ranger, and Dirt Bike, we have a large selection of used Driveshafts and CV's. ~Phil
