Anyone here have a Outlander 400 H.O. or the Outlander 650 H.O. that they would care to give some feedback on.the dealer for my area will not have any in stock for about a month so I would like to learn as much about them I can before they come in. Curently trying to decide what make I should get for my first quad.

Re: Outlander
I have an 06 outlander 400 and it goes anywhere I point it. Do I wish I had an 650 or even an 800? Sure. But the 400 has taken me everywhere I have wanted to go. More speed or more power would be fun but it's not necessary. If only it had fuel injection like the bigger ones. Since this is your first quad, go with the 400. JMO

Re: Outlander
The 650 are not supposed to be in the northwest till May-June.

However, the 800 and 400 are being released currently.

the 400 is a great machine and has 30 horse. Compared to the yamaha 450 at 28, the Honda Foreman S or ES at 28, and most 500 in the 32-35 horse range.

Now, the 800 Outlander is an animal. I mean animal. 63 horse and really, really responsive.

Re: Outlander
Hi I noticed your post after I wrote my question regarding a purchase of a outlander 400 max HO xt. One question I have is about the carbureted engine vs. the EFI. What is the difference? Do you notice it? What is your top speed? I wanted a 2 person and will use it mostly for ice fishing but may go off roading with friends a few times. Any other information is greatly appreciated because this is my 1st time atv purchase and I am trying to get up to speed before I buy one.
