Grizzly reverse rev limiter

My friend has an 03 Grizzly 660 and says that he needs to eliminate the reverse rev limiter. I was wondering if there was a "proper way" to do this.

Re: Grizzly reverse rev limiter

I dont know if its legal or Illegal or the "Propper Way" but when you want the speed limiter on your sports car removed you take it to a garage, could apply to ATV'S? Other than that not shure.

I would imagine you could wire together the wires that make a connection when you push the switch.....or vice-versa.

Re: Grizzly reverse rev limiter

I found a reverse rev limiter eliminator on Ebay and bought it for ten bucks and it was a six-inch wire with a spade connector on one end and a male bullet connector on the other. It was obviously homemade.

Re: Grizzly reverse rev limiter

All you have to do is splice the green and white striped wire, that is under the black plastic panel on the left side of the machine, and run a wire from the splice to the negative or ground on the battery. You can get splices at any hardware store. I did this on my '03 Kodiak but it is the same for Grizzs. This metheod should work for newer Kods and Grizs but don't know for older ones.

Re: Grizzly reverse rev limiter

you could check out Grizzhopper.com he has lots of helpful Grizzly tips in there. Including some good schematics on how to do this and a couple other over rides.
