New King Quad 700

My wife and I are taking delivery of our new KQ700 next week and would like to know if there are any particular break in tricks we shoud be aware of? IE change to synthetic oils, beat the crap out of it because it really doesn't matter, baby it for the first ten hours?

Re: New King Quad 700

My cousin and I both bought new Eigers, and they recommend not going above 1/2 throttle and varying your speeds to make sure all metal parts to load and unload, to help with the mating process. I took it easy on mine for the first 10 hours and my cousin thrashed the crap out of his, and you really cant tell the difference. Neither machine burns oil or any other noticable problems, so I would recommend doing what the manual says, but my cousin says to ride it like you would any other time. Its really up to you!

Re: New King Quad 700

read the owners manual and do as it says.

Everyone has their own way to break in a motor, but usually when you have the engineer (who designed the motor) helping write the owners manual, then I usually tend to listen to them.
