Polaris 700 service

Anyone have any experience with this motor? I need to do the initial service myself & I'm looking for info before I get into it. Is The re-torqing of the the head bolts & cyl studs difficult? Need torque values, sequence etc. Any reply's appreciated.

Re: Polaris 700 service update

Well I grudgingly took the machine to the dealer for it's first service, because I couldn't access the head without taking half the machine apart. What a JOKE! The tech tells me(after $ 250.00) that they dont re-torque the head unless theres a problem. When I asked him why it said to in the owners manual he tells me not to make a mountain out of a molehill.. OK fair enough; he says the warranty is still good. I get the quad home & crawl under it to check their work, well the dumb asses stripped the drain plug on the engine, missed better than 1/2 of the grease fittings, the ones they did grease they used reg dino grease instead of synth. They put a cover on the H20 pump (Polaris recall)wich had been leaking and sent me out the door with a dry coolant resivoir..DRY! It is quite obvious that they are not very good at what they do, I just wanted to warn others if you care about your machine DO ALL OR AS MUCH OF YOUR OWN SERVICE AS YOU CAN!!! I feel much better now, sorry for the long post.
