leer camper shell that doesn\'t fit

I purchased a Leer 122 camper shell for my 2001 Toyota Tundra. It never did fit well – it hangs over the end of the truck aproximately one inch. I purchased it with a "boot" so the dogs could hang their heads in the back window and drool on the seat. The company never acknowledged the "hangover" problem and their western rep said they don't really like the boots but they have to sell them to be competitive. I wish they'd advised me of this before they sold it to me. Finally I removed the boot and have a hole I'm trying to figure out how to fill. I wrote to the company's main office in Indiana and after several months I've yet to get any reply.

Call the main office and raise hell, or threaten to give it back and go to another brand. You will be amazed at the response this time.
