GUMBO RADIAL MONSTER MUDDER

OK I will be more specific. I am thinking of buying a set of the radial gumbo monster mudders. (38/15.50/16.5) I am currently running 36/12.50/16.5 good year WRANGLER R/T II.(this is the old military spec bias HUMMER tire) They even have (MILITARY OZ) stamped in the side of them. Has any one run the gumbo radials? I have rode in a truck with the GUMBOS and it rode better than the swampers did. But what about wear?

Re: GUMBO RADIAL MONSTER MUDDER

From a review I read online -

The gumbo rides well on the highway, and won't track on the highway. They really offer a good ride for a tire above 35 inches. Ther tread is really deep (28/32). They do wear relatively fast, maybe 30,000 miles if you baby 'em. They're loud as hell thogh. Seriously, realy freakin loud.

See ya

Re: GUMBO RADIAL MONSTER MUDDER

I don't think that's correct on that tread depth. 28/32's is what a bias ply BUCKSHOT mudder is, and the only thing deeper than that is a 38.5X11 Bogger. A radial GUMBO mudder will likely have 18-21/32's of tread depth.
