69 Jeepster Setup- Suspension/Wheels

So I have a 1969 Jeepster Commando C101, it is being shipped to me right now via tractor trailer from Los Angeles, as my friend was pulling it up onto the truck he blew the rear. This is the second time this has happened which leads me to believe that the after the first blow out, they replaced it with a used rear, on its way out the door as well.
Anyway, I am going to put a new rear on it and while I am at it throw somewhere around a 3inch lift on.
My question is to anyone who has had experience with this and if they could give me few pointers on what kind of rear would be good as well as wheel size and lift kit. (is hells creek the only one?)
I am pretty much going to make it into a trailer blazer/everyday driver. I am not looking to go for the high end parts, but not junk either, average I guess. Hopefully someone can steer me in the right direction.

Thanks for your time.
