Re: Tire Question

Sounds like your interests are similar to mine. Since it's your DD, an All Terrain tire would be a good choice, however in mud and deep snow you would find it challenged, at best. I just recently got a set of Sigma Stampede Radial XT muds. They're just a rebadged Wild Country:

I chose a radial mud terrain because they will drive on road quite well and give you 30-40k out of them if you drive responsibly, maintain them well, and rotate them regularily (every oil change is good), and take you everywhere offroad but the most extremely deep mud and snow. You need a Swamper or tractor tire for that stuff.

Cooper Discoverer STT, BFG MTkm, any of the Wild Country RVT's, General Grabber MT's, ProComp MT, etc etc etc all work well. So are I'm not regretting my choice at all, and I haven't even been offroad yet other than my back yard.

Re: Tire Question

I think Shorts has had good wear with Mud Kings (Look/ask for them at BFG dealers).

I will probably try a set of them in the spring. Winter's gonna be here soon enough and I'd rather run the BFG AT's I have now in any rain/snow/ice that tends to fly that time of year.

Besides, they are wearing well and weren't cheap, so I'm not ready to get rid of them yet
