ZookyMelt....who\'s going?

ZookyMelt

I was wondering who from this list is going? I'm a little out of it lately and need a boost to get my butt in gear and get my rig ready. My wife said not to wait till the last second like last year......
So If I see a bunch of names, it'll help me get motivated.
Max I'll write back tomorrow, I'm just real lazy these days......

Draggin' my A$$ I tell ya!

Danny,

I'm going, so is Bob. We're bringing his kid and his Suzuki Quad.

As far as I know, so is Glenn (Wildweasel), Mad Max, Randy (Zooky), hmmm, did Mark (JEEPN) say he's going?

Now what about the others? Crow? Pug? Dean? Anymore?

Re: ZookyMelt....who\'s going?

Actually, Mark will not be going. He said it was too far for him, and really he has a lot going on right now. I am going to try to have Heidi's rig running and I am going as well with mine. I have taken a day out of my work week to go over to glenns to start fabricating things on saturdays till the melt. Its going to cost me big time to do it. But ive been planning all year, so i cant drop out of the race this late in the game. Max

Re: ZookyMelt....who\'s going?

As I speak right now I have every intention of being there. However, I can't plan that far in advance. I don't know what shape my Sami will be in and if it will even make the trip. I don't have any way to trailer it out.

Give it to me; I'll break it.

Re: ZookyMelt....who\'s going?

Yo present and accounted for! Myself and Big Al (The boy) will be going. Zooky will be too. It won't be the same around the fire without ya! I am just trying to get the tow vehicle and a trailer set.

Re: ZookyMelt....who\'s going?

I'm going for sure, and there may be as many as four others coming along from Manitoba. And I guess there's no harm in mentioning here that I'll be towing my LWB down - with a "for sale" sign on it. Yup, it's official, I'm selling it. I've just purchased a friend's very well-built Samurai (3.8 V6, TH350, Toyota running gear and much more). So that means I have to sell my LWB. Specs are as follows:

1985 LWB Samurai
Fuel-injected 1.6L
GRS1 Transfercase
5.12 diff. gears
SPOA lift
Power steering
Honda Prelude seats
Dunlop 33x12.50x15 on 15x8 alum. rims
Lots of other goodies

I'm really looking forward to meeting all of those from this BBS who'll be going. It's almost like a family reunion, isn't it?

Re: ZookyMelt....who\'s going?

lol.. i should get a new nick, 'RangerAnton'

I went 4wheeling today, broke a shock mount and damaged my front shocks so bad. becuase i have rear springs up front it moved my diff forard, i didnt modify the shock mounts any, and that bracket for the bumpstop. Under full compression, the shock hits that.. Well after hours of hard off-road use, my shock is totally flatened on one side and metal scraped away.. Oh well there shot anyway, and got them for free from a chevette :)
I forgot to bring film also :( I had it in my hand when i was leaving but must have put it down, have the camera and everything.. I managed to drive up onto this BIG rock, (BTW i broke my front pasenger side lowere shock mount) lfted my passenger side front tyre about a foot in the air. Maxed out all my suspention, rear and front was maxed out. My front brake line was maxed out but my drive shaft was fine. The truck stayed very level.
also went in a bunch of swamp and ponds, up to my seat (where you sit)..
