Hello all,

I'm getting ready to setup a 98 ZJ for towing. Light trailer, couple of quads. The receiver hitch itself is easy to install but I was wondering if anyone could give me a few suggestions for the trailer lights.

I was told that the factory wiring harness should be tucked under the chassis somewhere. Is this true? I've looked but was unable to find it anywhere.

Is there a kit made that will T off of the tail lights?

Any help would be great...

On my 96 ZJ I had to buy a $50.00 wire harness from Napa. You have to remove the panel on the driver side behind the tail light. The harness just goes between the connectors. The harness also needs power direct from the battery. Any other questions just ask.

on my xj the connector was behind the rear driver side plastic panel, unplug it then plug in the T adapter

I found the harness point behind the spare tire. Guess I'll have to figure out a way to run the wire outside the car...
