hey i have a 3/4 ton 98 silverado and i am putting a body lift on very soon... hopfully...
the shocks are super stiff and i was wondering if i could put on half ton z71 shocks if i could get a good price?
would this work and would it be worth it?? thanks alot

It's probably your 3/4 ton suspension making it stiff. Bilstiens are about the best, but they are also pretty stiff. I think a good quality midrange shock is monroe, but I still think it's the suspension and not the shocks. If you have changed the shocks since you've owned it and noticed an unpleasent change in ride quality, then maybe you're right - you need squishier shocks. I'm sure you know this, but it has been asked about a few times lately so I'll mention it - you don't need new shocks for a body lift.
