YJ Snow Plow

Anybody out there have a snow plow for a YJ that they want to get rid of? Preferably in the upper midwest. It's winter and I want to find a cheap one.

/wwwthreads_images/icons/smile.gif Loose Nut advertised for one, and ended up with an entire Jeep...with a hardtop....and tons of other parts for what a plow would cost. Slap an ad in the paper and see what pops up./wwwthreads_images/icons/wink.gif

yep, I got into jeeping that way looking for a plow, now my buddy got a cj-5 and we're getting it in running order, only problem with an older jeep with a meyer's plow is that the attachment to the fram runs under the front axle and encloses it, thus preventing lifting your jeep. I'm finally getting mine changed around and will be looking for lift springs in the spring

How are you changing your plow frame around? I take mine off in the spring for trail runs. Also, be carefull you don't go too high because it changes the angle (tilt) of the cut and you might not throw the snow well.

I run add-a-leafs and 1.5" shackles and have room for 33x12.5s' on my 80 CJ5 and have room for the plow frame, how high do you plan to lift it?

i'm planing to have a new hole drilled in the frame, have the angle iron cut off in front on the axle and have it rewelded so that it is boxed infront of the axle instead of around it. I'm only looking at 2" lift plus a 1" body lift.
