Wrangler Question

My neighbor has a stock 90 Wrangler with an inline 6. Periodically, while driving down the road it just quits. No sputtering, no roughness, it just shuts down as if someone shut the key off.

Pull over shut the key off, turn the key back on and start and you are back in business. I have my own theories as to what may be wrong but thot I'd throw it out to the group for any thots/recommendations.

Good info - thanks. I figured since it was doing it under the same condition that it mite be a sensor altho I also guessed maybe the computer or maybe the coil. But I'll try the check engine routine - which is about as much fun as programing a vcr - and see what I get. Again thanks for the tips

I'm still think electrical, not fuel but I'll also check the fuel pump wiring cuz that sounds like a common problem amongst Jeeps even if its not the problem right now. Oops wait a minute that sounds dangerously close to preventative maintainence. Never mind.
