I have recently bought a set of used 39" mickeys. I was wondering what people thought of them. The guy said he drove them about 1,500 miles on them for $400, and www.mickeythompsontires.com says that these tires are good for about 40,000 mile. I like to do a lot of mudding in my truck on the weekend. Any info would be appreciated.

personaly.. the only one of there truck tires id even consider is the claw.. the street tires are good tho.. it just seems to me that m/t tires allways wear out quick. the tread seems real soft, wich is good for traction on hard surfaces, but wears quick. also, on the truck line they dont seem verry aggresive.. they look like slightly modified a/t's or atv tires... that and with the cost of them... well, you just dont seem to get what you pay for..

Depends on the truck and the driving. A buddy of mine had 30x12.50 Mickey Ts on his Samurai and put it through 20,000 miles with a few off road excursions mixed in. He sold the truck, and I bought the tires for $150, they looked brand new. Put them on my '83 Toyota for no road miles, but 4 off roading weekends. They work well in light mud, awesome in sand, riverbanks, clay. They dug a hole to china in quicksand, but everything does. Anyways, I sold the '83 and put them on my '79 Blazer for about 2,000 miles and they started to show a little wear then. Sold them for $100 cash and never looked back. For this heavy beast, I've bought a set of 36" TSLs but have yet to try them out. But I did have a set of TSL/SXs that I mudded the hell out of on a '91 Toy. I'd recommend the interco line to anybody! And Micky Ts to anyone with a lightweight truck or sand runner!
