My issue with the wink mirrors is that they block the visors. Being sensitive to bright light, thats imortant
to me. I hate squinting...

There is a good way to almost eliminate blind spots with your existing mirrors. I tried this and it works well.
It's a change from the traditional way to set side mirrors. It takes a day or two to get used to, but is well
worth it. This is best done in a parking lot with enough cars behind you to use as landmarks.

Adjust the intierior mirror as usual.

Usually the side mirrors are adjusted so you can see the side of your car, without moving your head, But do
you care about seeng anything closer tha say 6" from the side of the car? Also the mirrors have quite a bit of
overlap, and thats what we will use.

Note the car behind you in the inside mirror to the left. Without moving your head adjust the left door
mirror so you can just see the car noted. You can still turn and lean your head so you can see the side
if you need/want to, but you now have a much wider field of view to the sides.

Repeat for the right side.

You should now have no, or minimal blind spots. pull up forward to a row of cars and check the mirrors.
Back up simulating them passing. As they move up and past, the cars should remain visible from one mirror
to another untill its in your periphrial vision directly. It does take some getting used to, not seeing the
sides of your vehicle, but the gains to the sides are well worth it IMO.

I had on in my zuk when I bought it, I hated it. It blocked my forward view to much and I threw it away. I guess not having a rear view mirror in my truck before it, and the fact I was looking through a much smaller windshield made me feel like I was looking through a hole in a box.

Hmmm, that's the way I normaly set my mirrors!

Unfortunately with the mirrors being relocated on the Zuk due to the removeable doors, the passenger sided is about useless.

I had one in my CJ5 which came without visors so sun in my eyes wasn't that big of a concern. However, I can drive into the sun as long as I have on a good pair of sunglasses. Anyway, I loved it. It meant never having to turn my head to change lanes. I always knew where traffic was. I didn't know they still made them.

I'll have to try what Outlaw suggested. I've never tried that before.

Even with my mirrors turned so that I can see the sides of the body just a litte but, I have virtually no blind spots. The samurai is too short to have blind spots. By the time they're out of my side mirrors, I can see them in my peripheral vision. I always shoulder check anyways, its a good part of defensive driving. Expect everyone else on the road to be a dumbass and you're safe.

I have one I think it's great, got mine from afco racing out of Indiana, for like $19.00 with the mounting bracket, best part, didn't even have to drill new holes. As far as visors, withthe sammy window being so small, the mirror for me (and I too am sensitive) works well.
