i hadn't used my winch in a while, so i decided to re-spool it, and give it a little work out.. well, while in the process of re-spooling it, a small spark shot out of it.. this sounds worse than it was.. it came from a bolt(well it looked like it..) and not really from the solenoid area.. everything works fine.. i was just curious if anyone else ran into this, or might know what causes it.. i've got a Ramsey Platinum 9000.. relatively new w/light-moderate pulls..

sounds like it's not well grounded. Don't let it find ground thru the bearings, which happens sometime. Ckeck all your connections.

I'm on here so much, I have carpal tunnel reader syndrone.
