i have a 96 2500 ram and i see their are about 1,000 different sizes and LB and i wanted to know what size would pull my dodge out if i got stuck like 15000LB or what thanks

Good rule of thumb is to use 1.5 times the fully loaded weight of your truck. If yours loaded up is 6000 pounds, get a 9000 pound winch.

my rule of thumb is this / get the biggest one you can afford

Good rule to go buy. I also suggest staying with electric instead of hydrualic.

This is what I have always heard. If you can afford to get bigger than go that route.
