Will a trans from a 71' CJ fit an 85 CJ7?

Will a trans from a 71\' CJ fit an 85 CJ7?

The ad that I read this from says that the 71 jeep it's comming from is also a 6-cylinder, like my 85 CJ. Will this fit my rig?

What tranny is it? The 6 cyl. in the 71 is a Buick 225 V6, with I believe a different bellhousing bolt pattern and depth than the one
on your I6.

So I know what to look for, what is the actual model tranny/trans (forgive my ignorance but do both of those mean the same thing?)that my 85' CJ7 comes stock with?
