I have a chance to get an exrta set of gears for my jeep but the front diff is a Dana 27 and I am running a Dana 30. I heard at one time from somewhere that I don't remember that the ring and pinions will interchange from the dana 27 to the dana 30.
Does anyone know if this is true?????

With a bunch of machine work it can fit, but by the time you spend that money you could have bought the
right ring and pinion that is a little stronger than the 27 gears. Nickmil.

There are quite a few parts that will interchange between the Dana 27 and Dana 25. As far as I know, the only thing similar between the 27 and 30 is the ring gear diameter.
