will 32x10.5 Swamper TSL\'s Fit a Stock Truck?

Im about to buy a set of swampers but before I do I need to make SURE they will fit a stock truck with no lift. Does anyone know for sure? These will be going on 15x8 or 15x10 inch rims. Also on a sidenote Ife modified my front suspension and I now have 10" of travel. thats no bull. Does anyone know how much a stocker has? The truck is a 1990 Nissan Extra cab V6 Automatic. Thanks!

Probably not without some kind of lift. Check out Brett's site, he has a tire survey up that lists a bunch of combinations. Just heard back from a guy that put 31x10.50 BFG AT KO's on 15x8 w/ 4 7/8 Back Spacing, and he did rub on the mud flap in the front wheel wells (Stock truck). He removed the mud flaps, and no rubing, but it is VERY close in the front when turning. Plus he has not gone off-roading in it yet. It will surely rub when Wheeling.

A body lift would be a cheap way to get them to fit.

Yes and No! Whether they'll fit or not all depends on what size you want, what style of swamper and also are you looking to go with radias or bias-ply??? The other thing to consider is your backspacing of your wheels, the more backspacing like say 3 1/4" the better.

I seriously doubt they will, especially swampers!! If you can, put off the tires and throw on a body lift, should be able to do that for around 400 if you want it installed, if you do the install your self you have about 100 for the kit. Or stick with 31x10.5, that should fit without to much problem and your only losing 1/2 inch of clearance, so until you do more mods stick with the smaller tire. Also you can't go 10 inch rims on a 10.5 inch wide tire, it will come right off. You should stick with the 8's or even stock 7's.

Yes they will fit, buy the 15x8 wheels with backspacing as close to stock as possible, you can go with a little less than stock but not too much. 32x10.50 swampers will fit with no problems, you can use the stock wheels if you want because they will fit fine on those also. I had 32x11.50 Swamper SXs on the SE 15x7 wheels and they barely rubbed the frame behind the a arm, I just adjusted the steering stop out a little and no more rubbing. They also barely rubbed the rear frame, but only enough to scuff the paint on the frame, never wore it off.

I have 32x10.50 swamper radials on stock chrome 15x6 wheels and they never rub at all. I just use them for a spare set on my 95 and have no problems with rubbing. I just have the front end lifted enough to level it with the rear. If you have any more questions just send me email.

Re: will 32x10.5 Swamper TSL\'s Fit a Stock Truck?

To Travis about 10" of travel. This is on my 1986.5 Hardbody. When I got the truck the lower bumpstops were rotted off so this provided quite a bit more upwards travel. Also the sway bar is removed. I also cut the stock bumpstops that limit dowtravel. The lower profile bumstop allowed more downward travel. And... Im using 33x9.5s on 1983 Toyota rims (Shh). The toyota rims actually stick out further then the nissan original rims. The wider the axle usually the more articulation you have. I dont jump my truck so the missing bumpstops have not hurt me at all. Ive been wheeling it this way for about a year with no problems! In the rear once again the bumpstops were rotted off. I also cut the clamps that hold 2 springs together. Theres 4 in all. That seemed to gain some travel. I measured the front when one side was compressed and the other was not and have 10" difference. I havent measured the rear. Your welcome to come wheeling with me in N.H. anytime and check it out. Oh one more thing I run 33x9.5 BFG's with NO lift and dont rub anywhere! I had to trim fenders and do a little sledge work on the lower cab corners but they fit! When The suspension is fully compresed in the front you can barely put a finger in between the top of the tire and the inner fender Close!

i know for a fact that 32-10.5 swampers will not fit with out some kind of lift. if you want a cheap body lift instead buying a kit just us hockey pucks it's alot cheaper.

Have you tried 32x10.50 swampers on your truck?? I have a set for my truck and I KNOW for a fact that they do fit. I wouldnt puck hockey pucks under my truck, thats kinda unsafe, good chance they might break or collapse.

I am running stock rims on both of my trucks. I have the 15x7 SE wheels on both trucks. I have the 32x10.50 swampers on the SE wheels now. For a while I was running them on the chrome 15x6 wheels.

>>if you want a cheap body lift instead buying a kit just us hockey pucks it's >>alot cheaper.

It will also help you to quickly separate your cab from the underware,
should you rearend anyone.
On the serious note: NEVER-EVER do this. The (relatively) soft rubber the
hockey pucks are made from will not allow for the required torque of the
body mounting bolts. Besides of them going loose after the while, the shearing
force on those bolts is many many times greater versus the proper (hard) lift blocks.
For a mere $100 bucks it is NOT worthy to risk lifes.
Sorry to sound like a preacher, but that's the reality......think of it.
