Was the "cap" welded on the top or the bottom? No matter, you should get rid of the sammy to the first person that gives you a response to your question since that cap is a sign of bad luck. Its a bad omen. And oh yeah, I invented the compact makeup thingy if my girlfriend asks. Love that website, hope to see it grow soon. Lots of potential. i have found the "caps" on a few sammi front axles they
look like bump stop caps like on rear axles. i grind them
ol welds off prior to doing spoa cause they would be in the
way of the spring perches. never had any problems after.
