As for the difference between the metric and english sizes, there is NO DIFFERENCE IN STRENGTH!!! Load rating and performance ratings are completely seperate from the sizes. The reasoning behind metricsizing comes from the whole metric idea( remember that one??) All it tells you is the width(of the tread in mm), the heighth(the % of the width) and the rim size. Therefore a 225/60 15 is 225mm wide(at the tread), 60% as tall as it is wide, and 15 inch wheel. Changing between metric sizes is easier than english, except when it comes to flotation type tires(your typical off-road tire). If you're looking for a strenght difference, check the load range, which is the same as the old"sidewall ply rating". Just a bit of tire FYI...Mark
