I have been trying to silence my shifters for my model 18 transfercase ever since i purchased my jeep. I put rubber washers between and that still doesn't work. Is there a trick to silence the rattling. I hope i am not the only person with this problem.

Do you have the 2 little spring metal pieces between the shift levers? They look like a couple little pieces of metal that come up about a couple inches and clamp on the shift arms. If not, that could be your problem.
