Re: Nothing like peer pressure, eh?

Melodie and I expect to go. It appears my car show schedule at my new job will NOT prevent me from going that weekend...I CANT WAIT!

Tim...I agree that we ought to caravan down there. We will be towing the Zuk with our Frontier (hopefully on a dolly).

By virtue of my new job, I will likely leave on Thurs and drive like crazy so we can play Fri, Sat, and Sun am.

Re: Nothing like peer pressure, eh?

I'm thinking the same. Leave Friday morn or by noon, then haul ass to Osh Kosh and play. I'll be packing it up on Sun and driving like a wild man back so to work on Mon. We'll plan it all at the "Feb Fab".

Re: Nothing like peer pressure, eh?

6.5 hours in a sami. Damn, ive driven mine for 2 straight and was ready to get out. It was good tho. I held it floored and never broke 70 so i didnt have to worry about speeding tickets. I like the Uhaul idea. Im gonna check into how much that will be tommorow. Im also plannin on findin a second job to come up with the money. The money made by sellin cans and scrap aluminum and copper is now taken by my toyota. Billy Bob, I will probably follow you up there.

Re: Nothing like peer pressure, eh?

A u-haul truck shouldnt cost much, i remember my friend rented one for the day, was under 30 bucks (CDN)... plenty of room to fit a lifted zuk and parts and tools.. I think you can rent trucks specially for that tho /wwwthreads_images/icons/smile.gif but i woud go for the cheaper 1, zukis are light, either would work.. And with a zuk you wont get highcentered on the fenders when driving it in /wwwthreads_images/icons/laugh.gif

Re: Nothing like peer pressure, eh?

zukinut, thats no problem. would be nice to have a convoy of zuks goin up the big road.

anton, yeah, it is cheap to rent a truck, but the milage is what kills you. i got one in atlanta georgia, drove to alabama state line to pick up 3 sammys, and then back to my house. a little over $500 if i remember right. yes, got 3 in one trip. got a 26ft truck, 2 in the back, and one on a trailer.

Re: Nothing like peer pressure, eh?

Guys...

I'm leaving Thursday, not Friday. I figure a nice ride towing the Zuki on Thurs ought to get us there that day at a reasonable pace (or nearly there with a little to do the next day). The last time I drove that way I stopped in Columbus, OH and I think that represented about 10 hours of driving.

I suspect it's not but 3 or 4 more hours from Columbus at the most...but now I'm curious so I'll look at mapquest to get the skinny on it.

Re: Who\'s goin to Zuki Melt?

Thanks for the Offer for the back RR, The biggest prob is when I stand too long, sitting down is okay,
DannyL, Who went up the gutter on Beacon? (What was that I didn't hear you...) That and I hiked
15 miles that weekend being trail boss... Backs not too bad right now, but I have learned my limitations is all.
Ride out thursday sounds good to this ol dog. There are some advantages to being a State employee..
(6+ weeks Vacation a year..) If I get the suburban going then a long haul is no sweat. (Just going to cost more
Huh BillyBob..)

Re: Nothing like peer pressure, eh?

Hey old hand, when is the feb fab gab meeting? You and glenn figure that out yet? Im going to have to get some shifts covered if i can get a warning.

Glenn, lets fix the burb so you dont kill your back before you even get a chance to enjoy the trails. Im still looking out for a 700rs4 tranny.

Twister, "I like big butts and i cannot lie. Baby got back." and i have not had a problem with my back since!
