I cannot find anyone who will provide comp/collision insurance on my jeep. It has a salvage title now since the fire in July. But all the agencies keep telling me it is because it is over 15 years old. Anyone know what to do? It is running good with the new wiring harness we built for it, but has some oil leaks around the oil pan. [email protected]*n the 4 piece gasket sets! Anyone else have this problem with insurance?

The age of the vehicle isn't a problem with State Farm, they have a policy on my '55 Thunderbird.

state farm wont touch my tj, and I tried several offices.
they have it covered with liability only, but I have been searching for a better solution since I got it.

USAA covers my 78 for everything - Chris if you haven't you should check on them, they are open to all ranks now i believe, i've had them since '93 and never had a probelm getting them to insure any of my vehicles from '66 rustang through a 97 Volvo with many Jeeps in between.

Shaun, if you qualify you may want to check with them (military, son of a military officer, and a few other strange people). Otherwise i'd check State Farm even if they don't like the elusivejeep.

I have a stated value policy on my Jeep with Amica. Needed an appraisal.
I used to have State Farm but they are incompetent jerks so I took both vehicles away from them and my home insurance. And Amica was 10% cheaper for an identical policy.

State Farm has no problem insuring my 82 CJ. That includes having my 16 year old son as the primary driver. $$$ ouch!!!

I had State Farm coverage on the jeep when the fire occurred. The settlement was fair and I got to buy it back at salvage value. They tell me though that since the jeep was considered a total loss in July with the fire, that even with the complete rebuild they want no part of it. Apparently once a vehicle has been totaled they dont want another loss on the same vehicle.
