Get in there real close with a flashlight and make sure you dont have the same on the cylinder head around the headbolt flanges, or where it meets the block. Dont want to scare you , but my last engine did that also and it was a huge crack in the head. the coolant will leave a white residue behind from the ex heat. Even though it didnt use much water, quart a month, the crack was big.
Hopefully, thats not your situation.
and mine was between 6 and 7 cylinders.
