I searched the forum and found some instances of others experiencing this but did not run into any root causes where I could begin looking. Could anyone who's fought this issue before please update me with your findings?

EDIT--
I forgot to mention the whirring is there as soon as the engine starts up and it follows the engine RPM in pitch.
