I have 4.10's in my 85 with 258 auto and Dana 300. I run 33x12.50's and the motor runs at about 2650 to 2750 or so between 60 and 65 mph. I think it kinda depends if you want this jeep as a daily driver and where you will be driving.
3.73 will work fine if it is mostly in town and not much highway driving. My buddies that wheel a lot more than I do have used 4.56 gears for better trail use and those that used 4.10's wish they had gone that way also. Their rigs are not used for in town driving much. The lower gears (higher number) really let them move more deliberately over tougher terrain or slower crawling to put it more succinctly. Hope this helps/wwwthreads_images/icons/smile.gif
