Which flat top knuckles will fit a '79 Wagoneer front Dana44? I want to do a high-steer conversion. I will be using all of the D44's components, I only want to change the knuckles. Which knuckles do I need?

mine are from a 1976 wag, it came with flat tops.

I know that one side of a chevy dana 44 is the same, not sure if the other side is flat or not.

I'm pretty sure all chevy, dodge, and jeep flat top 44 will fit

74-76 jeep wagoneer's should have flat top knuckles.. mid '70's dodges came with them also... not sure on exact years.. and chevy's drivers side you can use.. some chevy's i have heard came with a passenger side.. but i have yet to see one..

The commonly used flat tops are 74-77 FSJs and 73-early 77 GMs had both flat tops, with late 77-87 having only the driver's side flat top.

The GMs are preferred because the driver's side is already drilled and tapped. On FSJ's neither side is.

Mine are from a Dodge and the holes on one side are drilled and tapped.

How much should it cost to surface, drill and tap the other side?
