I need to know what model and year vehicle and size engine the proper drive gear comes out of to go on the HEI. The parts places say just knowing that it is an 83 or later AMC V8 is not enough. Crap! Delays, delays.

I think I got mine at 4WDH. Call them, they are familiar with the mod, and should be able to tell you which gear you need. I think it was $24.99

If you need to make the parts guy happy...Just ask him a distributor drive gear off a 1983 CJ7 with an AMC 304. That should do it.
I just ordered from 4WDH for about $30.00

No such beast as an 83 CJ7 with the 304....at least not from the factory.

How bout an 83 Wagoneer with the 360.

All the gears on the 304, 360,&401 are the same.They changed distributers around77,78 but the gears are the same.I have done 2 swaps myself.Jeeper 2 is right, you`re gonna like it (loveit).
