Where\'s the cheapest place to get Dana 30 manual hubs??

Well, I am proving (yet again) that I am the Lord of wasting hubs. My count is now upto 15 between three vehicles. Anyway, who makes the cheapest (but fairly strong) hubs for a Dana 30?? I have my 4wd Hardware book and they have a decently priced set of Superwinch hubs for the 30, which I might end up with. Let me know.

On another note, what would keep a Dana 300 from getting into 4lo?? It seems to bind and from all the documentation I've found, there should be anything near it that would cause it to bind. Let me know....

Thanks

if you go through that many hubs, you might be better off switching to six bolt wheel hubs and using a drive flange.

Yeah, that is in the works for next spring. Actually, I am thinking about getting a Dana 44 front and Ford 9" rear out of a old Bronco or Scout. I just need them to survive this winter (moving to Madison, Wisconsin next week).

the only thing that I think would keep the 300 from shifting into 4lo if the linkage is fine is to try rocking it front and back, if the ground is not flat it might not shift, also try putting it in 4hi before you shift into 4lo

/wwwthreads_images/icons/tongue.gif At the risk of sounding redundant(like a broken record)I just have to ask......have you sized the tires lately? See my post to DANA on the tire guage accuracy thread a few days ago./wwwthreads_images/icons/crazy.gif
