Where to have tranny input shaft resplined?

OK, so I'm thinking "Outside the box" again and have a WAIT (Wild A$$ Idea Today).

I have transmission "A" and transmission "B" (most of you know where this is going already). Transmission A has a male output shaft, 21 spline. Transmission B has a male input shaft, 10 spline. I want to connect the two.

Here's the kicker. Transmission A also has a slip spline output (I have the slip shaft).

My thought is to have transmission B's input shaft cut down and resplined to match transmission A, so I can use a female collar similar to the SM465/NP205 setup. So where can I get this done? I have looked at all the machine shops up here, and they look at me like I have 2 heads, even "East Coast Performance", who stocks spools and other nice off-roading items on the shelf. Once I explained it to the guy for the 3rd time, he finally got it, and said he'd give Moser a call. Heck, I can do that, no need to pay the middle man. Anyone else I should give a shout?

v8jeep, did you ever find a place that does resplining in Maine?

Mangler, what was the shop down there that cut and resplined the Scout axle?

you need a machine shop with a Good Mill, and an indexing fixture, they had one here I almost shortened and resplined my Fullsized Jeep 15 inch shaft for my T18, but it was going to be ALOT of work and experimenting from even the best machinest at this aero space machine shop.

its very probable though that any one who can shorten and respline an axle shaft could do the same with a tranny input shaft.

they will need a lathe also to re cut the pilot area.

good luck
