Does anyone know a good place in Phoenix to get a Jeeps engine replaced? The engine blew a water hose, overheated and has been sitting for the last month and a 1/2 with a bit of water in the oil and possibly in the cylinders. I wanted to get a replacement engine sent to a shop so they could do a swap if my worst fears come true and the cylinders are full of rust.

It's the 6 cyl but I'm not sure which one it has. That was a transition year, from what I understand, and it has one of the two, 230 or 258, depending on when it was built during the year. I understand that they all bolt up the same though. The previous owner thinks it's the Hi Torque 232.

I hope that this is in time to help but I have found that the most helpfull place in this area (Greater Phoenix) is Off Road Unlimited 821 W Broadway in Phoenix. 480-833-4999
I remember them telling me about an older guy in the area that is the best with older Jeep engines. They can either help or will refer you to the right person. Hope that this was in time to help!

Wow Walter. That looks really nice. I hope you have the 232 or 258 and not the 230 Tornado. I'm on the road now, so can't reference my library.
