Well, today's the day I go get an MRI and see just how bad off I am.

Trying to keep high spirits. But sometimes fate likes to give you a bitch slap

Got up today with butterflies the size of bats on my tummy. Complicate that with the fact that I lost my insurance card. We all know how cordial medical professionals are when you DON'T have your card.

Then while driving to the office to take care of a few things before I go to the hospital, a ran something over on the interstate. Blew the left rear wheel out while doing 75 MPH. I almost wreck and nearly sh!t myself. Closer inspection revealed a crack and dent in the Mag wheel. Called Suzuki and it costs $348 to replace a GV Limited wheel. And that's my cost. And to top it off, all the wind from the passing cars made my hair look like a bird's nest.

Guess this is what's called a bad hair day. I'm trying to keep my chin up, but I'm afraid "fate" is gonna slap it down again. So I guess the best I can do is laff at myself!/wwwthreads_images/icons/laugh.gif[laugh/wwwthreads_images/icons/laugh.gif/wwwthreads_images/icons/laugh.gif/wwwthreads_images/icons/laugh.gif

Sorry, just way bummed and needed to get that out.

Yeah, but since I'm already looking for a GV V6 to dump into my Sam, I can tell you their are none, let alone the rarer Limited package with the gold alloys.

Thanks for the suggestion, but I've got bigger fish to fry right now.

Hang in there Tim - it's only a wheel after all & you weren't hurt when the tire blew. Try to concentrate on your health- don't sweat the insurance card thing - just bring one of your paycheck stubs to show where they took out for your insurance & any ins. paperwork you got laying around the house. The MRI will hopefully give answers so they can get you 'tuned up' in no time. Keep positive - it's more important than you may realize.

Best Regards,

Always try to look at the bright side. I have the url to some online junkyards, I'll see what I can do about the rim, don't worry about that.

I'll also bet the MRI will come out fine. Take each challenge when it comes, and don't worry about tomorrow, it'll take care of itself. If the problem seems insurmountable, just cut it into little blocks and tackle each one individually, you'll be surprised at how much you can accomplish. Good luck with the MRI my friend, I hope all is well.

Tim,

Always remember this bible verse "He will never give you more than you can bear" I dont know the book or the verse but trust me if you believe in that nuthin will overwhelm you.

I lost my great uncle who was like a father to me, my granmother and my great aunt all within 6 months. I found that its 10 times easier to laugh than to cry. Even tho that is harder to do than to say.

About the wheel, those things can be fixed be grateful that you didnt get hurt.

You are in my prayers.

Tim, best of luck, I get my MRI tomorrow 2/27/01, and I have waited 10 months to get this !@@^&(^ appointment. I have dealt with this parathesia junk for 3 years, and no explanations, I think it is either from chronic solvent (paint) poisoning from 12 years ago, or from a whiplash on my bike in 1989. Anyway, better to know than to continue wondering. Good luck, give me a call sometime.

I hope you know I am pulling for you! I'm sure everything will be FINE!!!!!

The wheel thing is just an opportunity to upgrade. I suspect you could put a nice set of aftermarket alloys all around for the price of that one wheel.
