Anyone know the torque spec for front wheel bearings? I have a '77 cj m30 with disc brake setup on my '69 Jeepster. I just repacked the bearings and am trying to tighten them down properly. Tightening the nut a lot doesn't create the drag I'm used to feeling with other front ends I've worked on, but I'm sure it's too tight even though it feels smooth.
Do you just make it TIGHT then back off 1/8 turn or so, or is there a specific torque rating?
